Kennel
Listing
Click on the menu button to your left that says "Kennel App" to pull up a kennel application in a new browser window. Your kennel listing is a one time application and fee of $15. Your kennel name, all owners' names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses and a link to your kennel website will be listed on the Kennel page on this website. In addition, each dog that you enter in the RoHM will be listed alphabetically with a link to that dog's own page which contains his statistics, health clearances and merit awards. You must have a RoHM listed kennel in order to list your terriers with the RoHM. Your kennel listing and your terrier application and listing can be filled out and submitted at the same time. Individual
Dog Application and Listing
Click on the menu button to your left
that says "Dog App" to pull up an application in a new browser window.
Each dog entered in RoHM will be listed alphabetically on the Dog page
with a link to a page with his health clearances and merit awards. The
fee for listing a dog in the RoHM is a one time fee of $5. In addition
to the application, you will be required to send:
Annual Updates Click on the menu button to your left that says "Update App" to pull up an application in a new browser window. Because some health tests need to be performed on an annual basis and because most dogs earn their merit awards over many years, you will wish to update both your dog's health and merit awards on an annual basis. The fee for updates is $3 regardless of whether you send in one health clearance update or 20 health and merit awards. If you update your dog's record four (4) times a year, you will pay the update fee of $3, four (4) times. For ease of updating and to keep the cost to you nominal, please gather these health clearances and merit awards together and send them once a year if possible. The same hard copy verification is required for updates as is required for your dog's initial application. To update the transfer of ownership on a dog, click on the menu button to your left that says "New Owner" to pull up that form. If you no longer own a dog that has been listed in your name and under your kennel, you may want to consider updating the ownership of the dog for the new owner. If the new owner's kennel is already listed with the RoHM, you will need only to send an ownership update letter specifying the dog's name, registration number, date of birth, sire and dam, date of the transfer and the name, address, phone number, etc. of the new owner. If the new owner's kennel is not already listed with the RoHM, the owner must fill out a kennel application. Certified Pedigrees Certified pedigrees can be provided by RoHM for any dog that has been listed in the RoHM. Click on the menu button to your left that says "Pedigrees" to pull up an application in a new browser to receive a certified pedigree. The fee for a certified pedigree is $10 each for the first three pedigrees and $5 for each additional pedigree ordered at the same time if you have a RoHM kennel listing. The fee for certified pedigrees for those without a RoHM kennel listing is $25 for the first three pedigrees and $10 for each additional pedigree ordered at the same time. Please allow four weeks from the time you mail your request for a certified pedigree for delivery. Summary of Fee Schedule
Health Clearances Health clearances include BAER tests (Baronets Auditory Evoked Response), CERF tests (Canine Eye Registry Foundation), OFA (Orthopedic Foundation of America), Penn Hip, Von Willebrands, Thyroid panel and any other nationally recognized health clearance. An examination and clearance on hips and/or patella may be obtained from a Board Certified Canine Orthopedist with a letter from that Orthopedist including his or her signature, veterinary reference number, name, address, fax number, and a positive identification of the dog in question (tattoo, microchip, drawing of markings with color and coat or other means of positively identifying that individual). The minimal health clearances that are recommended are a BAER (one time test) and an annual CERF exam. As new genetic health problems become apparent in the Jack Russell Terrier, the RoHM may recommend additional health clearances and will advise the breeding public where to obtain those tests and a bit about both the tests and the genetic diseases. You can check back from time to time on this page or check on the "News" section of this web site. Merit Awards Merit awards for conformation include JRTCA Open Conformation, Puppy Conformation and Working Terrier Championships, best and reserve best at the JRTCA National Trial, AKC and UKC Championships. Performance awards include Go-To-Ground certificates, Earth Dog titles, Obedience and Agility titles, Canine Good Citizen Awards and Working Certificates issued by various clubs, registries and organizations. If you don't see a merit award listed here, please e-mail us and ask if the award qualifies for a Merit Award. RoHM Designations of Individual Dogs
Validation of Submitted Information The RoHM may ask for validation of any or all health and merit credentials. If those credentials submitted to RoHM cannot be adequately validated, the credentials may be rejected by the RoHM.
